Life wasn't what Sophie was expecting, so why should death be any different?
She’s come back from swimming between the two, and every problem she left is still there. And then some.
There’s the human world, where she has a brother on the verge of ruins, band mates all set to go on tour, and people she thought she wouldn't be seeing for a long time showing up.
Then there’s her new world, where she’s seeing and hearing things that should not be heard or seen. Where Myles knows more about her than she could have ever guessed. She still doesn't know exactly why Michael is tormenting her, but somehow, everything is connected.
The monsters are closing in on all sides and the question is, will Sophie be able to defeat them before it all ends?

I'd like to welcome Nikki Rae as my Guest!!!
Thank You!!!

When Shay asked me to come up with a list of crushes I had growing up, I was immediately excited. Then I thought about it and I was embarrassed, then REALLY embarrassed. And then proud. So, without much introduction, here are my crushes from when I was younger until now.

I think it goes without saying that I was a bit of a weird child.
At the age of nine, I knew I was different than the other girls in my class. They had crushes on Prince Charming. And who did I like?

Edgar Allan Poe.

I fell in love with his stories first. His darkness and his mind. Then I saw this cute face and I had a full-blown girly crush.
...The girls at school didn’t understand.

Next came age 11. I still loved Mr. Poe, but then I found Anne Rice.
Enter Louis de Pointe du Lac.

Or just Louis, as I called him.

(Book version Louis is better, but I guess this is fine)
What I loved about Louis was how sad he was. I just wanted to hug him and be friends. Or more, if that was cool with him.

Then. High school.
There are two distinctive crushes I remember having during this time.

First was Davey Havok of AFI

Because...well. The music, obviously.

Then, senior year, we had to read The Metamorphosis for English class.
And Franz Kafka was my new crush “4 lyfe”, as I remember writing on a notebook
(God I was a nerd).

Again, I fell in love with his words first. Then his life. Then him.

Kafka and I (along with Poe) were inseparable. Until I got to college. I read a book called Swoon, by Nina Malkin. Sinclair YoungBlood Powers entered my world, and I had a really HUGE crush on him for about a year. Thus, my second ever book-boyfriend crush developed.

Sin isn’t your typical bad boy hell bent on revenge--oh, wait. He kind of is sometimes.
Oh well, you can’t blame me.

So what about now? Who is my crush now? Well, I could say my amazing boyfriend of eight years, which is true. But…
Neil Gaiman…

Well...Neil Gaiman AND Amanda Palmer.
Neil Gaiman...I don’t think I need to explain Neil Gaiman...hell, I’m not going to explain Amanda Palmer either. Read his books and listen to her music and you’ll get it.
