Emancipating Andie Review

Emancipating Andie
Priscilla Glenn

Interesting Note: I thank Judith from ILoveYAFiction for showing me the path to Priscilla Glenn. Because of her I found one of my favorite authors, an author that blows me away with her character and words and leaves me wanting more.every....single...time....

Ever since the one time Andie Weber threw caution to the wind - and paid the price for it - she’s learned that it’s safer and smarter to live life playing by the rules. Now she’s got a great apartment, a steady job, and a wonderful boyfriend in Colin; he’s sweet, stable, and essentially perfect – except maybe for the fact that his best friend is Chase.

Chase McGuire lives his carefree, unstructured life strictly for himself. Dripping sarcasm and oozing wit, he refuses to censor his feelings or opinions for anyone, making no apologies for either and wearing his abrasiveness like a badge of honor. No one has ever gotten under Andie’s skin the way Chase does – and vice versa.

So when Andie and Chase find themselves forced to take a two-day road trip together, they are already dreading an inevitable all-out war. But as the trip progresses, and the undeniable friction that has always defined their relationship slowly begins to wear away their preconceived notions of each other, Andie and Chase discover they both have a lot to learn about life, courage, happiness, and the age-old battle between logic and love

WOW!! Just WOW!!! Priscilla how do you do it? Like seriously how do you write characters that I fall so hard for!!!! URRGGG NOT FAIR!!!

Andie is such a timid character that it was such  a nice turn around from all the potty mouth attitude girls that are in books right now. Don't get me wrong I like a girl that has a strong back bone (Referring to Beth from Dare You Too.. Ya I'm still loving it). This book gave me such warm fuzzy feelings I wanted to go to a light house and have a little moment :)

Chase was just such an easy guy to love. He fit my criteria of being an asshole (I cant help it, I have a weakness for them), but he was sooo much more!!! He was so funny and entertaining that their bantering had me laughing out loud at some parts. I was a silly girl with a grin on my face for most of the book and I'm sure I also wore a shocked expressions at some parts.

"I can't promise you that I'll never be an asshole again. But I can promise you that I don't mean it. And I can't promise you that I won't ever make mistakes, but I can promise you that I'll learn from them and do whatever it takes to make it right with you again"

The one thing about this book is that there was not a whole lot of secondary characters to focus on. It was all about Andie and Chase, their development through their relationship. We got a glimpse into both of their past which was a treat because it just felt real. I love that about Priscillas writing. Everything just feels real and makes you feel what they go through. Andie had to deal with a very horrible situation, even I couldn't imagine but my heart melted for her. To see her happy, truly 100% happy was such a pleasure. Chase has had to deal with disappointment his whole life, never feeling worthy or good enough for the most important people in his life, and then his mother on top of that. Frick, going through all that I was impressed with how strong headed he turned out to be.

"And I can absolutely promise you that I don't think this," he gestured between them, "is wrong. You may very well be the only thing I've ever done right"

I warn those who are going to jump head first into this book, that be prepared for a very real, very heartfelt, very comforting love story. That's what this is. There's no crazy paranormal stuff that happens. There's no crazy twist that you didn't see coming. Its just a story about two people who find their way to each other, in the most simplistic and heart warming tale that will leave you with a silly grin on your face, and the knowledge that everything is suppose to happen for a reason.

Second Interesting Note: I will always think twice now when someone cuts me off while driving. Thanks Priscilla for leaving that little tidbit, more people should think that way!!

Recommending this book to whoever loves a sweet funny love story that will keep you reading and reading far into the night :)

Between The Lines Review

Between The Lines
Tammara Webber

Interesting Note: I started this book last night at around 10 PM, stayed up till 3 AM and finished it. :)

So just wow!! wow oh wow!! I gotta give  a shout out to ILoveYAFiction for giving me the heads up to this book. I haven't been disappointed from her picks so far and this one does not change that.

Emma is a young actress trying to make it big in LA. She gets the role of Lizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice, only its a modern Americanised version. Playing opposite of her is Reid Alexander.. Oh Reid. Mixed in here of course are a great group of supporting actors and actresses and of course a third love interest for Emma, Graham.

Now I'm not a big fan of love triangles unless their done right and this one is done right. Emmas relationship with Reid is all physical, and wow is their physical relationship hot.. like...hmmmm Reid... moving on... Her relationship with Graham is all emotional. He's there's for her, they talk, they are just great companions to one another.

"I laugh, unlocking my door. We step inside my room, where I've left a single lamp on and curtains open, because it was light outside when we left. Reid lets the door shut and immediately presses me to it, his hands on my shoulders. Inverting his hands, his fingernails lightly skim down my bare arms. When he gets to my hands, he takes them in his, dips his head and kisses me.
"I have to go now or I'm not going at all," he says, minutes later. I can't do anything more than nod. He kisses me again, pulling away and muttering "Damn," before opening the door and slipping into the hallway."

I will tell you this, there were a lot of wall/door make out scenes in this book, but I completely enjoyed it!!!

"Raising a hand to my face, he gently swept a strand of wet hair off my forehead, tucking it behind my ear. (Cute. Little. Huh. Habit?) I swallowed, my pulse thrumming so loudly in my ears that it drowned out the deluge pounding all around us. Our eyes held as his hand lowered, grazing past my ear, my shoulder, and down my arm, raising a wake of goosebumps in a trail behind his fingertips to my hand where it rested on my thigh"

The chemistry between both the guys and Emma were so special to read about. Reid has some issues to deal with and Graham, oh Graham, has his own things to deal it which I'm not going to lie was a surprise to me. I liked them both as characters and I can see Judith's appeal to Reid but I'm a Graham lover in this one. He just rocks, wish he had a little more scenes but I think it made their relationship a little more substantial.

The secondary characters in this book were great. The thing that I really found was the beautiful friendship between Emma and Emily.  I felt that it was just as important to the story line than her relationship to the guys. It just added another emotional dimension to the story.

I would recommend this book to anyone 17+ just due to the sexual content written in the story (Reid is bad bad boy) It was a fun easy read, and I'm looking forward to continuing the series..

PS: Thanks Judith!!

Spirit Review

Brigid Kemmerer

Important Note: I received this book through NetGalley. Read the first two books in the series (Storm, Spark) and I loved them!

Alright guys so this review is going to be short and sweet. I read the first two books in the series and I so very much loved them. The concept of elemental's and having an affinity for water, air, earth, fire and spirit I think is so cool and not done very often. At least not in what I read.

Hunter is one of my favourite character's just for the fact that he isn't a brother. Don't get me wrong I love all the Merricks, Gabriel holds a special place in my heart but I loved Hunters story. He cares so much for other people but yet he doesn't think any one could care for him.

Now Calla I very much enjoyed. I think out of all the girl love interests in this series so far, she is by far my favourite. She is so confident and kick ass and doesn't put up with shit. She doesn't listen and I must admit that her little tiffs with Silver rocked. Even though I ended up hating Silver in the end (not a whole lot but I did). Her relationship with Hunter started of so rocky that I didnt even know if I was going to like their relationship but I was fooling myself. The way they fell for each other was so sweet, it made me so happy to see Hunter happy. :)

I cant give you the plot too much because I would ruin it. There was such an equal balance between action and romance that Brigid did an excellent job in keeping me interested. When there was any bit of action it was good. Full of witty comebacks and teen drama, and the romance was pretty hot. But I will say I've never hated a grandpa so bad! (huge jerkface, read it and you'll find out why).

The thing about these books is the covers do not do them justice. I gotta say that I really hate the covers but the books are soooo gooood!!! The characters are just so unique and they stand out to me. Specially from all the other teen books. Its nice to see the four brothers get along at times but still have loads of drama between them. That's how brothers work to me at least.. They all have such different personalties, easily identifiable, and just sooo much fun to read about.

I would recommend this book to basically anyone who enjoys a good easy read. Its interesting and fun with great witty characters who uniquely fill the pages. But I suggest you read the first two books first because you need to know what's going on to get this story.

Scarlet Review

Marissa Meyer

First I must start by saying that I couldn't put this book down. Was almost late for work because I had to constantly read it.

The book starts off where Cinder ended but with a different main character. We meet Scarlet who lives with her Grandmother on the family farm. When her grandmother goes missing she meets a fighter named Wolf who may have some knowledge of how to find/save her grandma so they set off together to find her. Cinder is on the run from the police and the queen. Shes in search of Scarlet's grandmother who may have information about herself. With the aid of the captian (lol once you read the book you'll get it) and Iko they fly their ship all over in search of scarlet and her Grandma so they can save their precious world from the evil queen. HEHE

I really enjoyed everything in this book. Even thought its not completely centered around Cinder I really enjoyed Scarlet and Wolf. You still get to read lots from Cinder and also some Kai in there too. It was a steady paced story with lots of action and not so much focused around the romance building. I loved the captian, he made me laugh and i cant wait to read more on him. It was a joy to read the two different views and still have their worlds comes together nicely. Very well done.

The only down side to this book is that now I have to wait even longer to find out what happens. I want to know NOW!! I want to know how Kai is going to react and how the world will react once every one finds out who Princess Selene is. If you enjoyed Cinder I think you'll enjoy the second instalment. Cant wait for the third!!

While it Lasts Review

While it Lasts

Abbi Glines

So where to begin with this book. I loved everything about it!!

Eva is such a beautiful character and her past love life is something out of a Disney movie. I LOVED it! I just about cried over it. But then enters Cage. If you don't love bad boys then boy oh boy will Cage turn you around. Hes such a perfect match for Eva, especially after everything that she has gone through.

The secondary characters in this book made me laugh so much, and really appreciate the main characters so much more. Some times i was appalled by the things they did, other times i was in awww. It was GREAT!

This book has such a beautiful story line that I recommend this book to any one. It is written so well, you feel what Eva feels, feel what Cage feels, and it all comes together so nicely in the end. Their relationship is probably in my top fav Book Relationships just because you feel so much love from both of them.

If you havent read it yet, get your butt in gear and get it. Just truely a wonderful story :)

Tempting the Player Review

Tempting The Player

J. Lynn

Oh my Gosh there's so much that I could say about this book but ill simply stick with "It was just amazing!"

Chad is a huge baseball player on the verge of losing his contract with his team due to his bad reputation with the ladies. Bridget is used as a fake girlfriend to help turn it all around. Little did they know that they were going to turn each others lives around.

I loved Bridget. She was so snarky and fun it was just soo entertaining reading all of her and Chads interactions. I loved how there were never any real issue about Chad being a famous baseball player. Yes, there was a little bit of the paparazzi, but it was never made a big deal, so the story line flowed and there was nothing taking away from their romance. Which I must say was one of the most steamy romances I've ever read.

I have to admit the whole time I was reading the book i imagined Chad looking like Tom Brady. I know Tom isn't single and its the wrong sport, but I have a huuuugggeee crush on what is the beautiful Tom Brady, so to read all about Chad was sooo much fun. I really loved that Chad had so much fun with Bridget. They fought like an old married couple in the beginning which was soo fun to read but then their relationship blossomed and it really turned into something that you know is the real thing.

I really loved Tempting the Best Man and I didn't think that this second Gamble book could be even better then the first (I believed it would be just as good) but Jennifer proved me wrong. Its great to read a series that gets better with every book, instead of just tying you over till you get to the character that you really want to read about (like in some series I have read).

I just LOVED LOVED LOVED this book. I recommended it to anyone who loves the romance genre.

PS: This book does feature a little bit more dominance in its romance but you gotta believe me whenIi say that its done right. There's no abusive, controlling, stalking guy with every kind of issue taking dominance over the girl, like in the 50 shades of grey series. This book is all about the pleasure and fun of a new relationship, with some sense of DOM.

Obsidian Review

Jennifer Armentrout

Alright so where to begin. First off I LOVE this book. I dont have the right words to type that could accuratly describe how i feel about this book.....

ITS SOOOO EFFING AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope still doesnt do it.

Katy is such a strong character that i liked her right from the beginning. She doesn't take no for an answer and doesn't change for anyone, at least of all Daemon. I love that she's a book blogger and is as obsessed with books as I am.

Daemon is your total hot guy living next door. Hes such an asshole that of course I love him right from the beginning. Im a sucker for assholes. But he has every right to be since hes just protecting his family.

One of my favorite things about this book is that theres no quick love. I hate teen books where the characters are in love with each other within the first 150 pages. This is where Obsidian kicks ass!!! Theres no mention of love. Don't get me wrong you know they care for each other and will eventually love each other but it feels more real. I feel like theres nothing fake about their relationship. Maybe execpt for the fact that hes an alien but I can over look that. :)

The Sci-Fi action in this book keeps everything so interesting. Its different from all the vampire and werewolf reads that its a nice change of pace. Its just enough to not over whelm the love story but enough to give the love story a break.

The second best part of this book is all the humor. There is never a dull moment with Daemon and Katy. They fight and bicker like an old married couple and when you think it couldnt get any more ridiculous Jennifer pulls more stuff out of her hat and shocks you. I laughed out loud sooo many times reading this book that my boyfriend gave me such funny looks. :)

I read this book in one sitting and have read it twice since, and each time I have been stuck in the book. Not able to put it down each time which just shows how amazing this book really is. I believe its all do to Jennifer Armentrout. All of her books have hooked me!! I highly highly recommend this book to any teen lovers or romance lovers and of course any other book that Jennifer writes. She just has a way with words and this book is no exception.

LOVE IT SO VERY DARN MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: Daemon is the hottest, sexiest book crush you could ever crush on!! If only he was real :S

Born of Silence Review

Born of Silence
Sherrilyn Kenyon

First of let me say that I've always been a big fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon. Im up to date on all her series and by far one of my favorite characters have been Acheron. But let me tell you that Darling comes into close second.

Its been a while since i've read one of Sherrilyn's leauge books so some of the characters i was unfamiliar with but she did a great job with refreshing my mind. Through out the book we come into contact with previous characters that I loved so much but it didnt take away from Darling and Z's story.

The way the book started I wasnt to sure if I was going to like the way it was going to play out but after a couple chapters it started to grow on me. Zarya and Darling love story had a beautiful start but of course it cant stay perfect. I loved the comedy in their relationship and the way they could build on each other. It was to die for.

Darling, like I said is a close second to Acheron. Poor Darling has had to go through so much stuff in his life that through every turned page I was shocked to find more terrible things that had happened to him. He's such a strong character that I cant help but love him. Best of all is his best friend Maris who im sure without him Darling would have been crazed long ago. They share this amazing friendship that every person in the world would long to have.

Zarya was alright for me. She is a strong fighter, cares deeply for Darling and hasnt had the perfect upbringing. I just wished there was a little bit more of the story behind her and Darling. I got alot of feeling from Darling but i didnt so much from Z. She was hurt as much as Darling which would make sense why theres more stuff for darling to go through but I feel like there could have been more. Don't get me wrong I still liked Z. She got along with Maris and the boys perfectly and she totally fits with them all. She is the perfect mate for Darling.

Favorite thing of this book was the humor. Some lines had me laughing out loud and just giggling. I love the way that Sherrilyn can make her characters so hurt and serious but yet around the right people you can see their guard down. Just fun characters. Love them all!

Great book to read specially if your a fan even though if your a fan you shouldn't need my encouragement. Cant wait for the next instalment.

Iced Review

Karen Marie Moning

Interesting Note: Karen is one of my favorite authors and this book is including in one of the best series ever written! (Kelsey read this book twice within 48 hrs)

Well I didnt think I would be a big fan of Dani since I wasn't overly fond of her in the fever series but WOW!! I loved how snarky she was and how she wasn't scared to say what she thought to Ryodan without worry of the concenquences. Dani is still 14 in the book, which you would think would turn you off from this type of book, but Karen does an amazing job showing us that Dani is a little bit more than a kid. I have to admit that I loved it when Dani showed her more kiddy side just because it was a breath of fresh air. Instead of being bagged down by hormones, and adult thinking, Dani is just happy to be alive and lives life to the fullest.

Ryodan is as bad ass as I expected him to be. Hes such a jerk to Dani and sometimes you gotta wonder if he does care about her or if its all for his own benefit. Im still questioning it!!?!?!?..

Christian is another main character in the book that fits for Dani. He clearly cares about her and thinks of her in his future. Id love to tell you what I actually think about him but I dont want to give the story away!!!

And then theres my personal favorite : Dancer. I Love Him!!! Hes an amazing sidekick to "The Mega". He gets her perfectly and is there for her. But theres things about him that makes me wonder about his actually feelings for her. He has a dark side that we get a glimpse of that makes me wonder.. Darnit Karen why do you do this to us!!

Urggg this book was sooo good with all the action, witty bickering, and all the lovely words that come out of Dani's mouth (boinking!!! haha!!). I really wished that Dani was a little older in reading everything, just because sex is what Karen does sooo well, but I think this book is a great beginning for Dani's story. We need to see her go through the stages of growing up to really root for her :) . Plus theres soo many guys in this story that you just dont know who shell end up with, which is sooo frustrating but so darn good!!

Love it!!

5+ Stars!!!!!

Tigers Destiny Review

Tigers Destiny
Colleen Houck

Review from a couple months ago, just late posting

So I got an ARC of this book yesterday and i just finished it. All i can say is OMG!! Man do i ever love Colleen.

So of course it starts off where we left it in Tigers Voyage. Kelsey is captured but of course shes saved by her tigers. They go through many obstacles in this book and theres a big battle in the end. But the ARC didnt include the LAST 2 CHAPTERS so im slightly going mad!! Who does she choose. I know who deep down, at least i hope i know, but i still would like to read it.

This book was amazing just like the rest of this series. I loved how we got to meet Durga before she was the goddess. I loved her. I didn't appreciate some of Kelsey's reactions to her but i understood them all the same. Hey id be pissed too if she was going for my man. But not Durgas fault. Who wouldnt love those boys.

I also loved how all the weapons were used. The new weapon they receive from their last mission was cool i thought. I wouldnt mind having one. As always i loved Fanindra. Id love to have her wrapped around my arm. Shes awesome.

Great concluding to this serious but now im dying to read the last 2 chapters.. Urrggg why does it have to be sooo awesome =)

I have since bought the full book and finished it. Wow what a perfect to the ending to the series. LOVED IT!! Go read this series right now!!

Onyx Review

Jennifer Armentrout

I dont think you could get a better sequel to the book. I loved everything about it. I wish one thing was changed at the end but thats because I love romance and for those who've read the book will understand.

Katy is so kickass in this book. I love the interactions between her and Daemon. They really do make me laugh out loud and I got a couple funny looks from my boyfriend.

Daemon is as steamy as ever. He can soooo eat cookies in my bed any day! Sorry Sam you'll have to move over for him. Total Book Boyfriend Crush!!

I dont think I have to go into much detail about how amazing this book is just for the fact that we all know how great of a writer Jennifer is. That in itself explains that its an amazing read!

I found this photo and my thought was "Holy Shit its them!!" Not everyone may think so but its how I picture

Ashley I think is just the right amount of pretty and is the right height. And well Ian is just Ian. Think we can all agree there. MMhmmmmmmmmmmm :) Yummy :)

Best sequel to any book ever written. This review should be a lot longer to explain how amazing this book series is but I really don't have the words to tell you how wonderfully epic it is. The feedback that I have gotten back from Indigo's customers I thnk proves enough how wonderful it is. Its created a huge fan base here in Calgary and its so much fun to talk to others about this great book series :) YAY!

Vengeance Born Review

Vengeance Born
Kylie Griffin

Interesting Note: My boyfriend picked out this book after I found both my Kobo and Nexus dead, and so we went to the book store even though I just finished a shift working.

I dont know about you but I love the cover of this book. When my boyfriend first handed it to me I was like "ohhhh thats a kick ass cover". I don't know what it is but I love it when books show strong female characters on the front. Ya she may look like a little pin up but damn I wouldn't complain if I looked like that. So I'm giving it to her.

On to the actual book...

"Her next words, forced from between numb lips, felt like shards of ice slicing her throat. "Tell me, Light Blade, what privileges do you think I inherited being bred as a tool for retribution?""

I loved Annika. From the very beginning you know that she'd had a hard life and you can't help but cheer her on. From her very first kill to helping a Light Blade, who she knows hates her, she has proven herself strong enough to deal with anything. Her relationship with Kalan, the Light Blade, starts off on a rocky start, literally. From getting out from her fathers reach, to running away from rabid dogs and then all the way to the human realm where she is not very welcomed. Let just say she had a rough first night with the humans.

My favorite thing about Annika is her innocence. She doesn't have a firm concept on how the world works cause she's never been out into it. But she is smart and skilled in the art of battle and stealth. She enjoys the simple pleasures of life which I can of course connect with.

Kalan on the other hand was a tad bit blah for me. Dont get me wrong I still loved him as a character. He helped Annika on her journey in such a way that he himself learnt a great deal. I think my issue was, I like my men to be assholes and Kalan was so far from that! lol. Big freaking sweetheart. :)

"He'd given her his friendship. He'd accepted her. And by doing so, he'd laid his soul bare. For her."

The story line of the book is what really did it for me. I enjoyed the world that Kylie created. Set back in the time of horses and no running water, and where women wear dresses, but it also included a paranormal twist. Their world involves demons. Or the correct terms "Na'Resih" and "Na'Chi". These demons were ruthless and powerful with otherworldly powers. They also had a thirst for blood, which becomes very important in the story line(Loved it!) I loved how this mixed in with humans and the war that they have going on. It was really fun to read and I want to read more of it.

The only other issue I had is the "She". There was a lot of reference to the humans almighty god. She looks over them and guides them. Which, it doesn't bother me cause I am religious, but my gosh! There was soooo much of it. Could have been toned down a little.

I really enjoyed the world created in this series. If you like a great deal of fantasy set back in olden times, with a mixture of beautiful romance then this is for you. The set up for the next book was perfect so I will be continuing this series :)

Guest Review: Kelsey!!

Review by Kelsey!!

Oh hey there!!! SO I'm Kelsey as you may able to tell from this ^^ I work with Shay at Indigo. I'm a big reader. I tend to stick to the Fantasy/teen/fiction section. SO when we got some of the new Kelley Armstrong ARC's in I nearly lost my mind. No I lied I actually lost my mind. I'm a big Kelley Armstrong fan. Like freakin' GIGANTIC. So when I got to read Omens, the first book in her new series, four months early? Oh man, excited doesn't begin to cover it.

I loved it. I really did. It wasn't as fast paced as say, Bitten, but I loved it all the same. If I was going to compare it to other books I would say it's like Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning. Not plot wise but pacing wise. It's the book that sets up the world you're about to go into for the rest of the series and I think Omens did a great job of setting up this world. It made me want to read more and I think the books are just going to get even better from here.

With Bitten you were into the story from the beginning. Yes there was a mystery but you knew Elena was a werewolf and Elena knew she was a Werewolf and the same could not be said for Olivia.

Olivia was thrown into the world of Cainsville after her life came crashing down around her. She goes there to get information and to escape Chicago and much like her I found myself fascinated by the little town. Things there are strange, people are highly superstitious and Olivia is very good with the superstitions she doesn't even know she knew. Throughout the book small pieces of her previous life crop up and you really begin to wonder what Olivia is and what exactly did her parents, convicted serial killers, actually did. I will say no more on the plot you just have to read the book. I will talk about the things                                                                                                    I loved though.

OLIVIA. She's great. She starts off and, like Gabriel, you're kind of thinking she's a spoiled rich kid but as the story goes she really shows she is just so much more than that. I loved her attitude. She isn't over the top obnoxious like some main characters but she sure as hell doesn't let Gabriel get away with shit and I loved that she called him out. ALSO SHES SMART!!!! When you're sitting there thinking oh god this is not a good idea she's thinking the same thing and she's finding a way out of it. SO GREAT.

GABRIEL. UGH THIS GUY. He's an ass but not the way that SOOO many main male leads are now. He's the cold calculating guy that had some rough times and because of that he has a hard time connecting with people and he keeps everyone at a distance. Also ethics and honesty aren't a huge concern for him. He's a lawyer through and through. He thinks what can help him win the case and that's his concern first and foremost. It was great to see his growth throughout the book as well. I really really loved him by the end. UGH LOVED HIM SO MUCH.

One of the other great aspects of the book was that the narration changed. It was Olivia's POV but every once and a while they would throw in someone from the town's POV and it was through those short chapters that you got some real incite. Olivia may have no idea what the hell is happening but the town sure as hell knows and they're not quite ready to let Olivia in on their secrets yet.

I'm thinking waiting for the second one is going to be incredibly painful since this first book doesn't even come out to August and I suspect I'll have about a year wait after that. I'm so excited to see what happens to the people of the town, what happens to Olivia and Gabriel and for the many secrets everyone was keeping to come out.
Omens will not disappoint any Armstrong fans and all in all a great start to the series. I CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE.

ALRIGHT, that's it for me folks. Oh and haven't read any Kelley Armstrong? GO DO IT NOW. Seriously. What are you doing just sitting there? GO NOW.  Thanks SHAY SHAY for letting me steal your blog. I'll give it back to you now.

Alienated (Alienated, #1)

Interplanetary relations have never been more exciting! The first in a funny, romantic YA sci-fi series.

Two years ago, the aliens made contact. Now Cara Sweeney is going to be sharing a bathroom with one of them.

Handpicked to host the first-ever L’eihr exchange student, Cara thinks her future is set. Not only does she get a free ride to her dream college, she’ll have inside information about the mysterious L’eihrs that every journalist would kill for. Cara’s blog following is about to skyrocket.

Still, Cara isn’t sure what to think when she meets Aelyx. Humans and L’eihrs have nearly identical DNA, but cold, infuriatingly brilliant Aelyx couldn’t seem more alien. She’s certain about one thing, though: no human boy is this good-looking.

But when Cara's classmates get swept up by anti-L'eihr paranoia, Midtown High School suddenly isn't safe anymore. Threatening notes appear in Cara's locker, and a police officer has to escort her and Aelyx to class.

Cara finds support in the last person she expected. She realizes that Aelyx isn’t just her only friend; she's fallen hard for him. But Aelyx has been hiding the truth about the purpose of his exchange, and its potentially deadly consequences. Soon Cara will be in for the fight of her life—not just for herself and the boy she loves, but for the future of her planet.

How excited are you to read this!!

I know I am pumped and CAN NOT WAIT to get my hands on it!! Everyone go put it on your TBR lists and spread the word...

PS: Interesting fact... I've read most all the the books that Jennifer Armentrout has given a 5 star rating and NOT ONCE have they been bad or been disappointed.........
so guess what... ... .. .

Jennifer Armentrout rated it 5 of 5 starsWhere can I sign up for the L'eihr exchange program? With the right mix of sizzling omance, action, and suspense, ALIENATED is easily my favorite alien book to date. The chemistry between Cara and Aelyx oozes off the page. The blog bits were perfect and the research on human mating rituals? Ah, I laughed my bum off at that.

Release day cant come soon enough!!!

Dare You Too Review

Dare You Too By: Katie McGarry

Received ARC From NetGalley For an Honest Review

Interesting Note: I was inadequate of putting the book down
Example 1) Staying up till 3AM reading.
Example 2) Reading while doing all tasks such as eating, spending time with boyfriend and while doing my hair..... URRGGG SO ADDICTING!!

"I hold the bottle out into the rain and watch as the steady flow slowly fills it. When there is enough, enough that Beth can clearly see it, I close the bottle and hand it to her. She raises a skeptical eyebrow, but accepts the bottle. "Its our rain, Beth""

Im at a loss of words at this very moment. I don't know how I can tell you how amazing this book was. I have read Katie's work before, and while I thought Pushing The Limits was outstanding it does not hold a torch to Dare You Too.

Beth is such an amazing character. She is so hurt, lost and stubborn but at the same time she's so colorful, alive and mesmerizing. She has had it hard, and I do not blame her for what she tries to do for her mother. After nothing turns out right for Beth, who does she have to turn to. No one, which is the terrible truth of her life. Until she meets Ryan.

Sweet. Perfect. Ryan. Or at least that is the front that he puts on for the whole world. While Ryan is trying to figure out the dynamic of his life, the world throws him a curve ball (haha pun intended) and this curve ball comes in the form of Beth. The potty mouth skater girl who was just a dare, and a means of winning, but transforms him into the man he was meant to become.

I loved this book from the very first page right till the very end. Not once did I lose focus, get lost in book la la land. I was entranced to the point where my sleeping habits became irregular, which only lasted a night because that's all it took to finish. 24 HRS. From every turn of the page I became even more in love with their story.

I loved how Beth is such a strong character to begin with. Shes a snarky young women whose had to grow up much earlier then she should. When her life as a child gets revealed I didn't think I could handle any more hurt that shes been dealt. From one page to the next you get to see Beth change from the running scared girl, to the strong women that Katie finally allows us to see. All thanks to Ryan and his stupid dare.

I loved Ryan just as much, and although he had his own demons to work through,  I feel like Katie did such a wonderful job in making him much more mature in dealing with his issues. There was not much of a argument on if Ryan could handle the relationship. We know he can, its just all in if Beth can handle Ryan.
""I trust you," I say. "I was going to leave with you because I trust you""
One of the best parts of this book  is all the secondary characters. Everyone is so well written that you love all the charters  to the point where you wish everyone will get their own story. I loved how old time friend Lacy had such an important role, and even though you want to hate Gwen, Katie had a way of not making her a total B****. Pardon my language, I just spent the last 24hrs with Beth and her potty mouth. lol.

Over all I would recommend this book to anyone (17+ due to the hard language and mature themes). It was so well written, with characters that you can root for and a love that is everlasting. Filled with intense life situations and real plausible outcomes, this book gives you, the reading, that heart wrenching filling of CRAVING TO READ THE NEXT GOD DARN BOOK IMMEDIATELY!!!!

Please can I have Isaiah's story... Pretty Please.. Look im asking really nicely.... Please please please... right Meow! :):):):)

This book has definitely made my top favorite books of all time, and I'm sure it will have a lasting effect on you has it had on me ... :)
